Installation Tips

Pre-drill for best results, though Garapa is easier to fasten than Ipe.

Use stainless steel or coated deck screws.

Allow 1/8" gap between boards for drainage and expansion.

Acclimate boards for 3-5 days before installation.

Apply end-sealer to cut ends to minimize checking.

Hidden fasteners work well with Garapa profiles.

Maintenance

Apply a UV-protective hardwood oil annually to maintain the golden color. Without UV protection, Garapa will gradually weather to silver-gray. Clean with mild soap and water. Garapa responds well to maintenance and holds oil finishes effectively.
