Massaranduba Decking
Premium massaranduba decking boards for residential and commercial projects
Overview
Massaranduba decking, known as "Brazilian Redwood," is an extremely dense and durable hardwood that rivals Ipe in performance. With a Janka hardness of 3,190 lbf, Class A fire rating, and natural resistance to rot, decay, and insects, Massaranduba delivers 25+ years of reliable outdoor performance. Its rich reddish-brown to purple-brown color makes it one of the most beautiful decking options, while its price point offers better value than Ipe for comparable durability.

Installation Tips
Pre-drill and countersink all fasteners — Massaranduba is extremely hard.
Use stainless steel or approved hardwood screws.
Allow 1/8" gap between boards.
Acclimate boards for 5-7 days before installation.
Apply end-sealer to all cut ends.
Use carbide-tipped saw blades for cutting.
Maintenance
Massaranduba requires minimal maintenance. Apply hardwood oil annually to maintain the rich reddish color, or allow to weather to silver-gray. Clean with mild soap and water. This is one of the most durable decking materials available — it will outlast most other wood decking options.
