Installation Tips

Use stainless steel or hot-dipped galvanized fasteners to prevent tannin staining.

No pre-drilling needed — Redwood accepts screws easily.

Allow 1/8" gap between boards.

Install heartwood (darker red) for best decay resistance.

Stain or seal within 30-60 days of installation.

Install bark-side up to reduce cupping.

Maintenance

Seal or stain Redwood decking every 2-3 years to maintain color and protection. Use a UV-protective penetrating finish. Redwood weathers naturally to silver-gray if left untreated. Clean annually with mild soap and water. Avoid chlorine bleach which can damage wood fibers.
