Cumaru Flooring
Premium cumaru flooring boards for residential and commercial projects
Overview
Cumaru flooring, also called "Brazilian Teak," is one of the hardest wood floors you can buy at 3,330 lbf Janka — nearly 2.5x harder than White Oak. If you need a floor that can handle the heaviest residential or commercial traffic without showing wear, Cumaru is your answer. Its warm golden-brown to reddish-brown color and subtle vanilla-like aroma when cut make it as appealing aesthetically as it is functionally. For restaurants, retail spaces, and active family homes, Cumaru provides decades of virtually indestructible performance.

Installation Tips
Acclimate for 7-10 days before installation.
Pre-drill ALL fastener holes — Cumaru will snap standard nails.
Use a commercial-grade floor nailer with high PSI.
Maintain 3/8" expansion gap at walls.
Carbide-tipped blades are essential for cutting.
Glue-down may be easier than nail-down for some installers.
Maintenance
Sweep or vacuum regularly. Cumaru's extreme hardness means scratches and dents are extremely rare in residential use. Clean with a hardwood floor cleaner. Refinish every 15-20 years — the floor simply doesn't wear out. Natural oils in the wood may affect some finishes — use products rated for exotic hardwoods.
