Installation Tips

Use heartwood-grade redwood for ground contact and maximum durability

Set posts at least 24" deep in concrete for stability

Use stainless steel or aluminum fasteners to avoid dark staining

Apply a UV-protective finish to maintain the red color

Allow 1/8" spacing between boards for seasonal movement

Seal all end cuts to prevent moisture wicking

Maintenance

Redwood fences benefit from a UV-protective stain or sealer applied every 2-3 years to maintain their red color. Unfinished redwood weathers to a silver-gray. Clean annually with a mild detergent and soft brush. Inspect for loose boards or posts annually.
