Premium spf (spruce-pine-fir) framing boards for residential and commercial projects
Overview
SPF (Spruce-Pine-Fir) is the most widely used framing lumber group in North America. This species combination is harvested primarily from Canadian forests and is machine stress-rated for consistent structural performance. SPF is lighter and easier to work with than Douglas Fir while still meeting all structural building code requirements for residential and light commercial construction.

Installation Tips
Select straight, dry lumber — avoid twisted or bowed boards
Use KD-HT (kiln-dried, heat-treated) lumber to minimize warping
Crown joists and rafters with the curve facing up
Store lumber off the ground and under cover before use
Follow manufacturer's nailing schedules for sheathing attachment
Use appropriate joist hangers and connectors per building code
Maintenance
SPF framing lumber requires no maintenance once enclosed in finished walls and ceilings. Protect from prolonged moisture exposure during construction. Not naturally rot-resistant — do not use for ground contact or exposed outdoor applications without pressure treatment.
