Oak Trim & Molding
Premium oak trim & molding boards for residential and commercial projects
Overview
Oak trim and molding is the gold standard for interior woodwork. Its pronounced grain pattern, exceptional hardness, and stain versatility make it the most popular choice for baseboards, crown molding, door casings, and wainscoting in both traditional and contemporary interiors. Red oak and white oak are both widely used, with white oak offering superior moisture resistance for bathroom and kitchen applications.

Installation Tips
Acclimate oak trim in the room for 3-5 days before installation
Pre-drill nail holes to prevent splitting, especially near board ends
Use a pneumatic finish nailer with 15 or 18 gauge nails for clean results
Cope inside corners rather than mitering for a tighter fit on crown molding
Fill nail holes with color-matched wood filler before finishing
Sand to 150-grit before applying stain or clear coat
Maintenance
Oak trim requires minimal maintenance. Dust regularly and clean with a damp cloth. Touch up scratches with matching stain or wood marker. Refinish every 10-15 years or as needed. Avoid excessive moisture on unfinished surfaces.
