Cedar Trim & Molding
Premium cedar trim & molding boards for residential and commercial projects
Overview
Western Red Cedar trim is the premier choice for exterior trim applications. Its natural resistance to rot, decay, and insects makes it ideal for exterior window casings, fascia boards, corner boards, and porch trim. Cedar also performs beautifully as interior trim in moisture-prone areas like bathrooms and saunas, where its aromatic properties and dimensional stability provide lasting performance.

Installation Tips
Use stainless steel or hot-dipped galvanized fasteners to prevent corrosion staining
Seal all end cuts and end grain immediately to prevent moisture absorption
Allow 1/8" gap at joints for seasonal expansion on exterior applications
Apply finish or sealer within 2 weeks of installation for exterior use
Pre-drill fastener holes in dry cedar to prevent splitting
Back-prime all surfaces before exterior installation
Maintenance
Exterior cedar trim should be refinished every 2-4 years with a quality penetrating stain or sealer. If left unfinished, cedar weathers to a uniform silver-gray. Interior cedar trim needs only occasional dusting. Avoid film-forming finishes outdoors as they can peel.
