What this grade means
Premium decking grade represents the finest quality deck boards available. Boards are selected for tight, straight grain, minimal knots, consistent color, and freedom from wane, splits, and other defects. Ideal for high-visibility residential and commercial decks.
Defects allowed
Very small tight knots only, no wane, no splits, straight grain required
Typical uses
Residential decks, commercial decks, pool decks, rooftop terraces, boardwalks
Grade rules vary by species, region and grading agency. For structural work, use the grade stamp and governing code or an engineer’s specification—not appearance alone.
