What this grade means
Clear Heart is the highest grade for cedar and redwood. Boards are 100% heartwood (the naturally rot-resistant inner wood) and clear of knots and other defects. This grade provides maximum durability and the finest appearance.
Defects allowed
No sapwood on face, no knots, no wane, no splits
Typical uses
Premium siding, high-end decking, exterior trim, hot tub surrounds, saunas, fine outdoor furniture
