Fence Stretcher Bars for Tight Chain Link Installations
Fence stretcher bars are flat steel bars that weave through the end loops of chain link fabric to create a rigid, straight edge for attachment to terminal posts. When secured with tension bands, stretcher bars pull the mesh taut and prevent the characteristic sagging and curling that occurs at unsupported chain link edges. They are essential at every end post, corner post, and gate post in a chain link fence system.

Installation Tips
Thread the stretcher bar through every other loop in the chain link mesh end before lifting the fabric. Attach the bar to the terminal post using tension bands spaced every 12-15 inches. Use a fence stretcher tool (come-along) to pull the fabric tight before securing the far end. Ensure the bar is perfectly vertical for a professional appearance.
